Where did the idea for Wagerville come from?

  • Wagerville came from a group of old and young golfers who wanted some way to keep track of all the golf wagers they made with each other. Often the young would compete against the old for milkshakes, hamburgers, toys, and other various objects. This tradition of "wagering for non-cash rewards" was decided to be put into a useful tool for other people to use for their enjoyment.

Why don't you allow wagers for money?

  • Wagering for money usually creates contention and strains on friendships. It is more fun to be involved in a bet where the reward you receive is really cool, but is more meaningful than just a wad of pure cash with a mind-full of jealousy.

Will my friends really follow through on these wagers?

  • Depending on what you wagered with them and if they check their email, they should follow through. They are also your friends who you can trust and rely on. Have some confidence in them!

Is there a difference between Wagerville.com and Wagerville on Facebook?

  • Wagerville.com and Wagerville on Facebook are almost identical. They both let you invite and wager friends all you want. The only difference is that the Wagerville Facebook Application accesses more of your friends easier through use of facebook.com. Add Wagerville Application to your facebook, you are in store for a treat!

What are some tips for making a good wager?

  • Think of some event coming up, something that will involve your friends. Think about something that could happen at that event that would reap lots of laughter. Make a bet that it will or won’t happen, and follow through on the prize!

I've forgotten my password. What do I do?

  • From the homepage click on the "Login" button on the top right of the page. Below the red "Login" button, there is a link that says "Forgot your Password?"

What does it mean to "own your friends?"

  • It means to totally school them, to pwn them, to smash them, to win, to succeed, to triumph, to be victorious, to . . . etc.

If I add friends on Wagerville, do they still have to sign up on their own?

  • Yes, in order for anyone to use wagerville they have to have a created account to wager you back. Wagerville.com keeps track of all the wagers won and lost between friends.

What does it take to sign up for Wagerville.com?

  • Signup only requires email address and name. All information will be treated with up most respect by wagerville.com and will not fall into the hands of spammers. Your profile will only be between you and your friends. Enjoy!
